The Excitement of Opening Cardboard Popcorn Boxes
The first time I had a Cardboard Popcorn Box for a gift was on Halloween as a child. A very wise woman gave it to me for my tenth birthday. My parents did not know what I thought of it when they found out how many boxes I had. They said, "Look at that, what a waste, how many will you need by then?" My little sister and I used to spend our afternoons trick or treating in the neighbourhood, and we were never able to decide on what we wanted to have for dessert. If we could, we would have been much happier. Sometimes I was the one that wanted sweet treats, and sometimes my sister and her friend wanted salty ones. These Popcorn Boxes helped us all because they were so cute and we always gave each other a very big smile when we saw that our gift to our children, would also be a Halloween treat for them. We all loved it when we brought home a new Popcorn Box for Halloween and were thrilled to see what the contents of our Boxes had in store for us.
Whenever my parents opened the cardboard Popcorn Boxes in front of us, the first thing that we would look for is what type of sweet treat we wanted. If it was something chocolate, we would eat it in our heart's content. I remember one time we all sat down to watch some old episodes of a TV show that we liked. We all had a sweet treat, but we all agreed that Chocolate Macadamia Nuts were the best thing that could be made using these Popcorn Boxes. Whenever I look back on the memories of the years that I spent as a child, I think of my parents more fondly than ever before as they gave me a Cardboard Popcorn Box. I can remember in particular where I stayed up until nearly three in the morning to get the last box for Halloween, and I can remember the crunching sound when it came out of the box. I can even remember standing in the middle of the living room with my parents when the box was given to me. I remember crying as they took it from me. I remember looking at them and saying "how did you do that?" I can even remember thinking how lucky I was to get such a lovely gift that I was sure that I would really like.

This became my favourite Popcorn Box because it had a picture of Donald Duck on it and when I opened it, the first thing that I saw was a big yellow head staring at me with an evil smile on his face. I then started to laugh as my mom handed me a box of Popcorn. This Popcorn Box was awesome. My favourite thing about these Popcorn Boxes was that they were such a fun and exciting Halloween treat. I remember the excitement of being scared by the Popcorn Boxes and how I did not want to open them, that is until I saw my face on the inside of the box.
